My message to the district leaders at the closure of a Transformational Leadership Development Course at the National Leadership Institute (NALI) Kyankwanzi, was for them to focus on promoting politics of interest because it is crucial to the prosperity of Ugandans.
Uganda faced post-independence challenges due to leaders who misdiagnosed the problems. Some emphasized politics of identity , and there were issues such as constitutional abolishment and wars. The National Resistance Movement correctly diagnosed the problems and introduced core principles to address them.
Therefore, I appeal to them to sensitize the people about the four core principles of the NRM: patriotism, Pan-Africanism, socio-economic transformation, and democracy.
