President Museveni met with the British Minister of state for Africa affairs, Mr. Andrew Stephenson and his delegation who called on him at State House, Nakasero.

The President and the British delegation, that included the British High Commissioner to Uganda, Mr. Peter West, discussed issues that centered on how Africa and Europe could work together in forming trade and market partnership so as to boost further the economies of the two continents.

“Africa has a huge raw materials’ base and high purchasing power. The issue would now be processing. The big British companies can bridge this gap by creating processing factories,” the President said.

Foreign Affairs Minister, Hon. Sam Kuteesa and his Permanent Secretary, Mr. Patrick Mugoya, attended the meeting.
